As the first game I helped developed on Unity2D, I worked with 3 awesome team mates who were very hardworking and considerate during the entire game creation. We had amazingly cute illustrations, cute bobbly animations, and a complex game unit. I was very proud of us because this was all new to us back then, and working with fun teammates made the entire process a delightful one!
<BALANCE> is a 2D Platformer game which tells the story of a young girl battling with her inner demons to achieve emotional balance and peace. She must work together with her Ying and Yang companions to overcome her obstacles, with each tiny companion controlled by a different player.
This was meant to be an asymmetrical couch co-op multiplayer platformer puzzle game. Three players, controlling different characters with different roles and abilities, will working together to advance form one level to the next by solving puzzles. The player who controls the main character will be isolated from the other two players. The isolated player will also be wearing headphones, further limiting any form of communication with the other two. The limitation on each player forces them to immerse themselves in a game and truly become each character, encouraging players to focus on critical thinking and teamwork.
