Freshie Pageant Bash (Post Orientation Party) 2019

Creation of Promotional Collateral (Photoshoot, Posters, Ticket Design, Social Media posts, Logo design)

I was in the Executive Committee for the Cultural Activities Club in NTU, and I was also a kid from the design faculty. Naturally, I was roped into being the Chief Publicity & Publications for the Freshie Pageant Bash from 2018 to 2019. It was a pretty fun process that didn't just consist of designing/editing on Adobe software- it was also my first official experience in filming and advertisement.

The theme revolved around the Great Gatsby Era, which meant glitter gold and retro. Masquerades were popular back then too! Hence, we chose a vintage design and setting to bring the pageant back to the Roarin' Twenties.

As the person with the most experience with Adobe, I created all the print materials and social media collaterals after brainstorming with the team on the design and outlook of the brand identity. It was a pretty fun process turning everything into glitter, including our Pigeon Origami Logo, a staple tradition in every freshman pageant bash. (Pigeon = Pageant, get it? haha)

 

We did our Photoshoot at The Mill, which was a beautiful gothic building that belonged to the vintage past.
